A selection of photos of the 2009 quilting exhibition. Most of the pictures were taken before the doors opened to the public. Over 150 people came to view the exhibition of over 120 quilts and hundreds of other exhibits. Display in the marquee outside Items for sale on the day

It was a great privilege to have Linford Methodist Church chosen to host the first “Community Dump Quilters” exhibition.   When the organiser, Clare Beard, first asked if it would be possible to hold an exhibition little did I imagine the scale of the operation.  I know that everyone who came through our doors on Saturday were overwhelmed by the sight of such wonderful quilts etc all made by the 12  members of the group over the last few years.    A regular member of the Church who likes to dabble in such things summed the event up when she said “I feel like Alice in Wonderland, what a marvellous display!”

The group has been meeting at our Church once a month for over a year now, I sincerely hope they continue and  more exhibitions like this will take place.
